Wednesday I took my anesthesia boards! (That is so I can get people numb!!) ....... I PASSED! First try. I took them in Spokane, Washington. It was kind of intense. First we had to take a written test, we were prepared for it to be really difficult. It ended up not being as bad as we thought! :) Then if you don't pass that test you are finshed. But I passed! If you pass you can go onto the clinical portion, where we have to give 2 injections. One on the top and one on the bottom. Everyone has to do the same ones. And at that point you are so nervous because 2 examiners are staring at you and every little tiny move you make. You shake like crazy, I could hardly put the needle back in the cap. And after my first injection one of the examiners told me that I need to breathe! I guess I was holding my breathe during the whole injection!! The clinical portion is where a lot of things can go wrong. If you don't pass the first time you can pay a hefty fee and retake it with a different patient that same day. Luckily for me I passed the first time! It is a relief to have it over. Now I will be focusing on my written and clinical dental hygiene boards which covers everything I have learned in the past year and a half, I take that test in December. So no break, just back to studying!!
